Hello lovelies, hope you're all doing well. The other day I popped into B&M with my family to pick up some bargains and I didn't leave disappointed! For those of you that don't know, B&M is basically a discount store but they do sell some real gems, which I thought I'd share you all today.  I have been after a corkboard for so long but I really begrudge having to pay over £5 for something so basic (I'm such a cheapskate) so when I saw this one for £1.99, I snapped it up. Now I can spend hours trying to arrange things on it so that it looks pretty... I also picked up some small bits and bobs such as this amazing buddha head and vintage cupcake tin, although I have no idea where I'm going to put them. Finally I got these adorable plant pots and as I'm so indecisive, I couldn't decide on just one colour -like a normal person- so I had to buy all three. Are you a fan of B&M? VERY HEAVY PICTURE POST

My room is the place where I spend pretty much 98% of my time (the other 2% is spent either in school or in the kitchen- I live a very thrilling life) and it's took me a while to organise things and get it to be a space that represents me. When these shelves were first built, I hated them; I couldn't arrange things so they looked nice and it just always looked a mess. But after spending hours pouring over the internet at interiors for inspiration and finding cute little things to fill them up with, I began to like them and now I don't think I could be without them. Overall, I think my room is a mixture of vintage/shabby chic, floral, with a hint of pink and a dash of cosiness but with a quite minimalist touch? Does that even work?

Interior inspiration

Hello lovelies, hope you're all doing well. I don't know about you, but I love looking at other people's bedroom interior and stealing their ideas for my own bedroom, and thought I'd share some with you. I love the top right image as I find it really hard to arrange things on my shelves, does anyone else have this problem? I also love how fairy lights can make a room look so cute and cosy. What's your favourite room out of the above? & What's your favourite piece/object etc in your room? 

DIY- Bunting

What you will need: 

-coloured string/cord of your choice  

-scissors   

-pen or pencil 

-ruler 

-hole punch  

-patterned card or fabric (I got mine from the range) 

-a piece of paper or card

 

01.) On your piece of paper or card, go around the edge of  your patterned card or fabric so that you have the outline of it. Then using your ruler, measure how long the edge of patterned card is and find the middle of it (in my case, my card was 15cm long so the middle would be 7.5cm) and mark it on your piece of paper.

02.) Then using your mark as a guide, draw a straight line down the middle. Using a ruler, connect the end of your line to the top two corners to form a triangle shape.

03.) Cut out your triangle and hole punch near the top. This is your template for all your pieces of bunting.

04.) Place your template on your piece of card or fabric and trace around it. (TIP: turn the card over and trace the outline on the back as this stops you seeing the pencil line) Then follow the steps as before: cut out your triangle and hole punch it near the top. Then repeat for a different patterned card or fabric until you have reached your desired number of triangles.

05.) To join your pieces of bunting together, you need to grab your string or cord (I didn't cut mine until the very end, when I had all my pieces of bunting on it, so just reeled it off it's spinney-thing < my brilliant piece of description, but hopefully you understand what I mean?) and thread it through the first hole and then pull it across and thread it through the second hole (through the back to the front and then the front to the back). Then pull quite a lot of the string through so you can add another piece of bunting, then repeat the steps again until you have added all of your pieces of bunting and yours should begin to look a little something like mine in the picture below.  Once you've added all the bunting, you can now cut the string (I'd leave about 15cm at each end so you can hang up your bunting) and you're done.

Hello lovelies, hope you're all doing well. Another inspiration post for you today, I hope you don't mind but hey, everyone needs a little inspiration every now and then, ay? No, okay.. I absolutely love the the last one with the bird cage, I just wish I had the skills to paint something like that in my room, which is your favourite?

On a side note, please forgive me if I don't post for a couple of days as I go back to school on the 5th and I have a ton of art & drama coursework to catch up on, oh how I'm looking forward to going back to prision school, if you've already gone back, how are coping?;)

Hello lovelies, hope you're all doing well. If you're wondering what this sorcery is and where the blog you know and love has gone; I've moved and got a new domain, woo! Talk-pretty.com is now where it's at! I hope you don't mind. I just felt like I needed a change of scenery. What are your thoughts so far? As my last inspiration post went down a treat at my old blog, I thought I'd share another here, mainly because I think you guys like these kind of posts & because my camera has gone walk-abouts, so I have nothing interesting to share, so please enjoy some interior eye-candy.
